How does the free plan work?
The free plan gives your business a permanent listing in Solar Directory with a public profile page, company description, service categories, and contact details. Free profiles are indexed in our public search results if they meet our Quality Gate (minimum content threshold). There is no time limit — your free listing remains active as long as your account is in good standing. Upgrading unlocks priority placement, the Verified badge, lead alerts, and analytics.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your paid subscription at any time directly from your billing dashboard under Account → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access to Pro or Premium features until then. We do not charge cancellation fees. Annual plan payments are non-refundable after 14 days per our terms of service, but you can downgrade to the free plan at any time without losing your profile data.
What is the Verified Badge and how do I get it?
The Verified Badge is Solar Directory's editorial certification that a company is a legitimate, actively operating business. To earn it, we independently confirm: (1) Legal registration — matching your VAT/company registration number with national business registries; (2) Physical presence — confirming a real operating address in your listed country or region; (3) Domain and contact consistency — verifying your website and contact channels are owned by the same entity. The Verified Badge cannot be purchased — it is awarded solely on the basis of this editorial review. Verified status is reviewed annually.
